Christmas Eve
Happy holidays everyone. Hope it's good for you. This will be our first Christmas without my grandfather. Already it doesn't feel the same. Everybody is doing their own thing this year. It's definately strange to not have the whole family together. The hardest part about this christmas is that I'm still very angry. My uncle was killed almost two weeks ago. He and my aunt were sitting on the side of road with hazards flashing. A guy in a truck hit them from behind and spun the car into a tree. My uncle died at the scene. He had a broken neck. My aunt was in the hospital. She had blood on the brain, a broken clavicle,and three broken ribs. The guy who hit them was drunk. Somebody had reported the car driving erratically and the police had been looking for him. This is his second dwi. And he caused an accident before that resulted in injury or death. And the messed up thing is that the most time he's facing is 9 years. MAX. 9 years. James is in for 6 years. Three years less, for batter and running. He didn't kill anyone and he's probably going to do more time than this guy. What the hell is this.
